Pacific Science Center

Isaiah didn't have school on Tuesday because of Veteran's Day so we went down to the Pacific Science Center to see Lucy. Lucy is the oldest fossil of an erect walking human ancestor. She is 3.2 million years old. They also had an incredible exhibit of artifacts from Ethiopia, where Lucy was found, dating back 200,000 years. Isaiah really enjoyed it, he took notes and even copied a page out of the Koran that was being displayed. Julia pretty much just ran around, but she was delighted to find out that Lucy was the same height as her. Unfortunately, the Science Center did not allow pictures of the exhibit, but here are some pictures of the rest of the day.
